Hannibal King was born in the United States in February 1978. He spent his childhood in crime-ridden neighborhoods and realized early on that the behavior patterns prevalent in his environment were not suitable for a young person. He did not want to devote his life to alcohol and other illicit substances. At the age of 11, he and his older brother started doing athletics, and two years later, he was spending several hours a day on the sports field. He only became popular in 2008.

Hannibal for King

Today, he is a famous athlete who actively participates in Street Workout (i.e., street gymnastics on horizontal bars and parallel bars) and runs his own video blog on Instagram, where he explains and demonstrates how to perform various exercises to anyone who is interested. I will talk about what the athlete eats in today's newsletter.

For breakfast, Hannibal for King was accustomed to eating:

  • Three eggs fried with bacon.

  • A sandwich with chicken, cheese, lettuce, and fresh vegetables.

After his first meal, King heads out for outdoor training, where, in addition to his main set of pull-up exercises using his own body weight, he does a long warm-up that includes several types of push-ups and jumping rope.

Let's pause for a short commercial break.

Gladly is a customer experience (CX) platform that emphasizes a human and highly personalized approach, even when using AI.

Their main idea (from the 2026 report):

88% of problems are solved quickly → but only 22% of customers remain loyal.

Conclusion: modern AI is too technically efficient but emotionally cold → customers leave even when “everything is resolved.”

Gladly markets itself as the solution to this problem: not just closing tickets, but maintaining customer loyalty to the brand.

88% resolved. 22% stayed loyal. What went wrong?

That's the AI paradox hiding in your CX stack. Tickets close. Customers leave. And most teams don't see it coming because they're measuring the wrong things.

Efficiency metrics look great on paper. Handle time down. Containment rate up. But customer loyalty? That's a different story — and it's one your current dashboards probably aren't telling you.

Gladly's 2026 Customer Expectations Report surveyed thousands of real consumers to find out exactly where AI-powered service breaks trust, and what separates the platforms that drive retention from the ones that quietly erode it.

If you're architecting the CX stack, this is the data you need to build it right. Not just fast. Not just cheap. Built to last.

We continue

A snack after exercise includes whey protein mixed with water and about 50 grams of nuts.

Current form

For lunch, Hannibal eats traditional American cuisine, most often pizza (similar to pepperoni).

After the third meal, the athlete's daily routine includes strength training in the gym using barbells and exercise machines to strengthen the trapezius, chest muscles, deltoids, biceps, and forearms.

The final meal, dinner, consists of:

  • Beef steak.

  • Fresh vegetable salad.

  • A choice of fast carbohydrate dishes (one of the favorites is sweet doughnuts).

Pharmacology

Hannibal claims that he is a completely “natural” athlete. He says that he has never touched anabolic steroids. He even started using sports nutrition relatively recently, as part of a contract with a brand manufacturer.

“All these muscles are the result of 20 years of hard work. Nothing else,” he says. According to him, he has never used barbells or dumbbells and has always followed a bodyweight training regimen. Hannibal says he is inspired by gymnasts and the type of strength they possess—functional, without the excessive hypertrophy of bodybuilding. “All the guys in the neighborhood worked out with barbells. And they all had joint problems. I didn't want to go down that path.”

By training hard several times a day, Hannibal stimulates muscle growth without any dietary restrictions.

“I eat what I want, when I want. Fast food, hamburgers—all the time, yes,” admits Hannibal. According to him, hamburgers give him new motivation to train: you have to work out even harder to burn off all the calories you've eaten.

The athlete pays a lot of attention to his abdominal muscles. He has invented a number of exercises to work them out, such as alternating leg raises while hanging horizontally. And yet he often returns to the workouts he started with. “You just come in and start doing sets of exercises, ten reps of each, one after the other,” he says, advising beginners. “Give it a try. This method always works.”

Thank you for your attention.
